It looks like Dalaran-WoW is going to be launching a fresh WoTLK server and that the original realm, Algalon, will be used as an archive server. Likely with each fresh server release, the old will be merged into Algalon. The new server name appears to be Dalaran. Link below for more info. Warmane is not highly regarded here at all. All but one of the realms is completely P2W, and the PvP is cross-realm so you'll be at a huge disadvantage anyways. Classic WotLK should be out within the next year or so, would be better to wait for that instead. Chromie is good, but it's vanilla WoW in the WotLK client. Golemagg absolutely the best choice for free transfers at this point, good number of guilds 14/14 first week and multiple pugs clearing BT/Hyjal along with an active auction house, by no means a mega server but a top tier choice at no cost. Like take Moon Guard, one of the largest Alliance RP realms however almost a good portion of the population is stuck in Goldshire not really contributing to the realm. That inflates the numbers. Also keep in mind server location your ping will be better on a server located in the east if u live on east coast area 52 and illidan are better east zone areas and tichondrius is west coast server but u can still play on them regardless but will suffer usually 30 higher ping I live in east and play on a west coast server and ping is at 90ms ...Warmane is not highly regarded here at all. Interested in high population for casual leveling, dungeons etc. Benediction is basically PvE since its a 87% alliance server, also has a 21000 alliance population compared to pagles 8000. Not that a 8000 is low, its actually the second highest server population for alliance. I mean even an 8k server is pretty massive.First of all, find a community or join a guild that makes world PvP activities / organized action. When you are farming Korthia, around world bosses (the world quests ones giving 500 anima) or the assaults, try to group. In custom groups you will probably find something “25 kills Korthia WM on” or “Korthi rare farming WM on”. Also some of these sites do not factor in low level toons or they only calculate levels 10+. Advantages are that you get more guilds, more people in cities and trade chat, and a healthy economy (though that is not faction-specific). Golemagg absolutely the best choice for free transfers at this point, good number of guilds 14/14 first week and multiple pugs clearing BT/Hyjal along with an active auction house, by no means a mega server but a top tier choice at no cost. It’s really awful to see so many new players getting shoved into these servers that have basically no population. I hate having to explain to a new player why the vast majority of the people they are interacting with are not people they can join a guild with, or aren’t even on their server.
